The Adda sofa features a clean, contemporary style. Its lightweight structure and generously filled goose-down cushions feature piping that highlights their soft, welcoming shapes. The Adda sofa sits on a metal base covered in leather or fabric, while the exposed cast-aluminum feet reveal their graceful, yet absolutely modern, vibe. The comfortably soft armrest and seat back cushions slip over the base using a simple and effective bayonet coupling system. The cushions are creased with a unique lengthwise stitching detail that produces a slight wrinkle in the surface of the upholstery – that can be crafted in fabric or leather – and that, in addition to following the natural fold created when seated, lends a distinctive look to the sofa.

The seat cushions are made with a core insert in crushproof material wrapped in a generous, soft layer of goose down. The seat back cushions are also filled with goose down to magnify the feeling of enveloping softness and are available in versions with or without roll cushion to achieve different aesthetic and ergonomic effects. The version with roll cushion provides greater back and neck support. The sofa sits on an elegant cast aluminum base painted gray or bronze, or with satin, chromed, burnished, black chrome or champagne finish. The Cestone sofa was designed to be placed at the center of the living room and viewed from every angle. Made of a metal structure upholstered with woven cowhide strips, the back and sides command viewing. Two options are available, with the irregular woven strips in two different widths. The cowhide strips can be closely woven, forming a compact surface; or more loosely woven, allowing the underlying upholstery fabric to show through. The resulting ‘checkerboard’ pattern makes a strong visual statement in aesthetically pleasing contrast to the soft, perfectly-proportioned upholstered parts. 

The Cestone sofa can be paired with its eponymous coffee tables, with a top in Canaletto walnut or ash. A broad range of stains create delightful textural contrasts with the warmth of the cowhide.
